How to Remove Contacts From Yahoo Mail
The “Contacts” section of Yahoo’s free web-based email service allows you to compile and organize information about the people with whom you often interact. In addition to being able to import contacts from services like Facebook, Gmail, and Windows Live Hotmail, the ability to do so allows you to rapidly add contacts to your list without having to type each one individually. If you realize that your contact list is getting too extensive and includes persons with whom you no longer do business, you can prune it.
To delete a contact in Yahoo Mail:
- Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account.
- Click the “Contacts” icon in the left sidebar.
- Select the contact or contacts you want to delete. You can select multiple contacts by holding down the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard and clicking on each contact.
- Click the “Actions” button at the top of the page and select “Delete” from the dropdown menu.
- Click “OK” to confirm the deletion.
Alternatively, you can delete a contact by right-clicking on it and selecting “Delete” from the context menu.
Note: If you have a large number of contacts, it may be helpful to use the search function to find the specific contact you want to delete. To do this, click the “Search” icon in the top right corner of the page and type in the name of the contact you want to delete.
