Recall that the world was put to a halt due to the corona virus during the most part of last year, 2020 where we’ve seen hospitals and quarantine centers fill to its capacity.
All major and minor activities were put on hold.
Events were not left out too, indeed the corona virus has done worse than good.
We have seen and heard about the hospitalization and deaths of people all over the continent but the few lucky ones who were infected with one of the world’s deadliest diseases recovered after being taken care off.
Fast forward till this moment, the world’s statistical number of corona virus cases keep adding up and rumors about a curative vaccine were mentioned in some quarters of the world.
Nigeria isn’t left behind too in getting their fair share of the corona virus disease.
Numbers are indeed adding up. Latest update from the Nigeria Centre for Disease control , NCDC revealed that the number of infected folks has risen to a figure of 200,000.
Rumors had it that about some 18 months ago, an Italian traveler on Feb. 27, 2020, who was diagnosed with the disease entered into the country and that was the beginning of the disease in Africa’s most populated nation – We can’t verify if this rumors were true or not.
Now, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease control (NCDC) through its proven website on Wednesday morning, said that Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases had risen up 200,057.
Information reaching Jemmyblog.com revealed that the Public Health Agency registered a total of 519 new cases of the corona virus infection on the early hours of Tuesday which were gotten from 14 infected of the Federation, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) inclusive.
The 519 new cases were a rise to the number of infected persons set at 387 which was pronounced on Monday.

The NCDC revealed that out of the 110 instances of COVID-19 recorded in Ondo states, five deaths were announced.
According to the NCDC, as at Tuesday, Sept. 14, Nigeria had successfully treated and discharged about 188, 719 COVID cases.
Furthermore, the NCDC revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic killed 18 Nigerians on Tuesday, to push the tally of total mortalities to two thousand six hundred and thirty-seven (2,637).
Over two million, nine hundred (2,900,000) persons from a country of over a hundred and eighty million persons have been tested.
