How to be eligible For Undergraduate Scholarships

Before applying for any undergraduate scholarship, be sure you complete all of the conditions in order for the awarding body to consider you qualified to get the scholarship.

While each organization and institute has its own set of standards for candidates, there are some general prerequisites that any undergraduate student interested in studying abroad should meet.

Here are some of the documents you must possess to be eligible:

Passport Photograph
WAEC Certificate
International Passport (if you are studying abroad)
Reference Letter/Sponsorship Letter
Local Government of Origin Identification
O’level Result
Jamb Result
Birth Certificate
National Identification Number (optional in most cases)

If you are planning to study abroad, you need to meet any of these requirements:

Be an international student
Be a citizen or resident of an international country outside the awarding body’s own country
Be from a developing African country -if the scholarship is specifically for students from a developing Africa country (Nigeria is included)
Would have already applied and been accepted for undergraduate studies at the university of your choice or at least received a conditional offer.

When applying for a scholarship, you must agree to the terms your application form or letter, as well as any needed papers, to the scholarship sponsoring organization or university.
