How to Cancel Netflix

Some apps make it tough to terminate your account in the hopes that users would become so frustrated that they will not quit their membership. Netflix is not one of these apps, thankfully.

Canceling a Netflix subscription should just take a few minutes. You will need to recall how you signed up for Netflix in the first place.

Here are three ways to cancel Netflix, depending on how you created your account. If you’re not sure which one applies to you, try them out in order.

How to cancel your Netflix subscription if you signed up directly

To cancel your Netflix subscription, you will need to follow these steps:

Go to the Netflix website and sign in to your account.
Click on your profile in the top right corner of the screen and select “Account” from the drop-down menu.
Scroll down to the “Membership and billing” section and click on the “Cancel membership” button.
On the next page, click the “Finish Cancellation” button to confirm that you want to cancel your subscription.

Please note that canceling your subscription will not automatically delete your Netflix account. If you want to delete your account as well, you will need to contact Netflix customer service for assistance

How to cancel your Netflix subscription on an iPhone or iPad

To cancel your Netflix subscription on an iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:

Open the App Store app on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap on your account icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Tap on your Apple ID, then tap on “View Apple ID” in the pop-up window.
Enter your password if prompted.
Tap on the “Subscriptions” button.
Tap on the Netflix subscription.
Tap on the “Cancel Subscription” button.
Tap on “Confirm” to confirm that you want to cancel your subscription.

Your Netflix subscription will be cancelled at the end of the current billing cycle. You will be able to continue using Netflix until the end of the current billing cycle, but you will not be charged again.

How to cancel your Netflix subscription on an Android

To cancel your Netflix subscription on an Android device, follow these steps:

Open the Netflix app on your Android device.
Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner of the screen.
Scroll down and tap Account.
Scroll down and tap Cancel Membership.
Tap Finish Cancellation to confirm that you want to cancel your membership.

Note: If you signed up for Netflix through a third-party service (such as the App Store or Google Play), you may need to cancel your subscription through that service. In this case, you will need to follow the instructions provided by the third-party service to cancel your subscription.

How to cancel a hacked Netflix account

If you believe that your Netflix account has been hacked, you should take the following steps to secure it:

Change your password: Go to your Account settings and change your password to a strong, unique one.
Review your account activity: Check your Account page for any suspicious activity, such as unfamiliar shows or films added to your viewing history.
Check your email and payment information: Make sure that your email address and payment information are correct and haven’t been changed by the hacker.
Contact Netflix: If you suspect that your account has been hacked, you should contact Netflix customer service to report the issue. You can do this by going to the Help Center and clicking on the “Call Us” button.
Enable two-factor authentication: To further protect your account, you can enable two-factor authentication, which requires you to enter a code sent to your phone in addition to your password when you log in. You can enable this in your Account settings.
