Remove Channels From Roku

How to Remove Channels From Your Roku

The ease of adding channels and apps to your Roku device makes it easy to clutter your homepage with unnecessary channels. With a few clicks, you may remove channels from your Roku.

Please note that uninstalling a subscription-required channel, such as Netflix, will not terminate your membership. You must terminate your account independently if you no longer wish to pay.

Here are the steps for removing channels from your Roku using the device or the mobile app.

How to remove channels from Roku channel lineup

To remove channels from your Roku channel lineup:

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
  2. Navigate to the channel you want to remove.
  3. Press the * button on your Roku remote.
  4. Select Remove channel.
  5. Select Remove to confirm.

Note that you can only remove channels that you have added. You cannot remove channels that came pre-installed on your Roku device or that are part of your cable or satellite subscription.

If you want to remove a channel from your Roku device but keep the channel’s subscription, you can “hide” the channel instead of removing it. To do this, follow the steps above, but select Hide channel instead of Remove channel. You can then access the channel by going to your list of hidden channels.
